Fans have been debating for months whether or not Mark Ruffalo would be appearing as Bruce Banner/The Hulk in Marvel’s Phase 3 starter Captain America: Civil War. Ruffalo himself stated in the past that he wasn’t sure if his character would be making an appearing but believed that he would be after Iron Man himself Robert Downey Jr. personally told him his character was set to make an appearance.
It appears, however, that we won’t be seeing Ruffalo hulking out in the massive ensemble film. In an interview with BadTaste.it the actor went as far as to say we shouldn’t expect to see his character anytime soon.
“The reason is too great to be revealed in this movie (Civil War). I was in the script but then they removed my character. They don’t want to reveal where is he and why. I don’t even know if Hulk will be back soon.”
Since they cut him from the film it will be interesting to find out what the Hulk is doing during the events of the Civil War. How do you guys feel about the Hulk being left out of the MCU for a seemingly long period of time? Let us know in the comments below.
