The Coalition is doing their thing! Every month there seems to be a content drop for Gears Of War 4. It’s one of the reason I still have the game installed on my PC. September 2017 is here and with it comes more content.
Two new maps are coming this month. One is Mercy (Gears 3) and the other is Habor Haze which is the cloudy version of the Harbor. Check out the screenshots below of the new maps.
Other content includes some new achievements. 500 achievements points total will be added to the game. The official Gears blog didn’t state exactly how to achieve these new points, but we do know it has something to do with the new Rise Of The Horde mode. Since that is a condensed version of Horde, then it’s safe to assume these achievements should come quickly if you play well.
Improvements are being made to matchmaking as well. The Coalition will be switching from region locked matching making to a quality of service matching system. For those of you unaware when you game online you’re often matched with people in the same city and state as you. Gears is switching to a system that matches you with the best connection. Opening up the player pool, in theory, should speed up matchmaking and improve connection.
The Coalition said they’ve got more info coming up September’s update, so when we get it we’ll be sure to let you know.
