Patrice Desilets, best known as the Creative Director of Assassin’s Creed and Assassin’s Creed II, has unveiled his new project from him and his team at Panache Digital Games. Desilets announced this game at the Reboot Develop conference while giving a keynote presentation.
The game is called Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey and will allow players to experience the greatest moments from mankind. Here is the official announcement from Panache Digital Games’s website:
Our first game is Ancestors : the Humankind Odyssey.
Our game is a third person action-adventure survival episodic game.
Through each episode, we want the player to relive the greatest moments of mankind with a documentary twist. Our civilisation is one idea away from extinction… or evolution.
Stay tuned much more to come in 2015!
Nothing else about the game is known. I don’t know about you, but this definitely reminds me of what Assassin’s Creed used to be like. I’m already looking forward to this historical game; how bout you?
And for those that don’t know, Desilets used to work for Ubisoft, before leaving in 2010. He then joined THQ Montreal, which was sold Ubisoft. He was terminated by Ubisoft in May of 2013 and has since obviously pursued other opportunities in video game development.
