I used to have a deep hatred for the Call of Duty franchise after Ghosts, but not so much in recent years. I’ve come to peace with the series. Mainly due to the fact that there’s been a multiplayer beta for every game since Black Ops III.
Betas provide fans on the fence a chance to try out this game before retail release. This is important when dealing with annual franchises like Call of Duty. WWII is no different. A beta will happen on August 25th and Activision just dropped a new trailer teasing what you can expect. According to them you can
“Be among the first in the world to get hands-on with Call of Duty®: WWII Multiplayer in the Private Beta, including brand new maps and all-new War Mode experience. Enlist in all five Divisions and watch for new content throughout the Beta. Private Multiplayer Beta begins on August 25 first on PS4, and on September 1 for PS4, other platforms to follow.”
Just keep in mind you have to pre-order the game in order to get into the beta. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Usually, they open it up to the public after a certain amount of time has passed. Even if they don’t you can always finesse Amazon for a code. Pre-order WWII from Amazon, get your code and cancel your pre-order. Amazon doesn’t charge until the game actually ships. You’re welcome.
