I don’t think anyone was expecting an Eminem album to come out this week, especially not even a full year after Revival came out. Apparently, Eminem was very upset at critics like Charlamagne, DJ Akademiks, and his old cohort Joe Budden for talking badly about his last album. I could tell when he did the remix for Chloraseptic and threw subliminals at AK and Joe Budden that he felt some type of way about their comments. Now we’re on the last day of August and Eminem had some more to say about all of his “haters” with Kamikaze.
This album has 13 tracks with features from Joyner Lucas, Royce Da 5’9, and Jessie Reyez. On multiple tracks he addresses his critics, his new relationships, and D-12. He also has some surprise production from Mike Will Made It and Tay Keith. I don’t know about you, but I’m really liking this change! The main issue I’ve always had with Eminem is the production when Dr. Dre isn’t handling it and the constant bars about Kim. I like when Eminem’s focus is on something else, and he has better production to boot.
