Microtransactions are ruining games left and right. They ruined Star Wars Battlefront II, Need For Speed & the next victim could be EA’s UFC 3. Earlier this week it was discovered that the game contains Microtransactions. Many websites reported on it and things became so exaggerated that it forced EA to release a statement on it. They said everyone needs to chill because the microtransactions only pertain to one mode; Ultimate Team.

According to our plug, EA also claims that microtransactions are only in the game to prevent uneven matchups as much as possible. After you’re finished laughing at that terrible statement feel free to read the full quote below.

“Our matchmaking logic takes fighter attributes, moves, boosts, and perks into account and prioritizes matching players with similarly upgraded fighters in addition to player skill. The goal is to prevent uneven matchups as much as possible. Furthermore, the game features Online Ranked Championships and unranked Online Quick Match for competitive and casual head-to-head online play.”

The fact that this mode features ranked play makes this mode pay to win. I downloaded the beta and I didn’t enjoy the game. This is just another reason not to pick up this game. The animations in UFC 3 felt a bit more fluid, but that’s the only real change I noticed besides the controls. They changed the controls for the sake of being different. The controls do nothing to make the game better. They actually make it worse, so I’ll pass.

Is anyone still picking this game up in 2018?
