It’s nothing for Activision to F something up. They’ve done it time and time again and history tends to repeat itself. While the Black Ops 4 beta (cause of time to kill) is catching all types of heat for Activision Spyro just arrived to heat it up even more. A remaster collection is coming in September that will feature the three original games people love most.
The remaster collection is being offered digitally and on the disc. The problem is reports are coming out that claim the disc version only contains the original Spyro game. The other two games will have to be downloaded digitally. Many on Reddit are wondering what’s the point of the hard copy then? I tend to agree with them. Especially because Blu-Ray discs can hold a ton of data. It can handle those three old games.
When asked by our plug why they did it; an Activision representative released the most PR statement I’ve seen all 2018. “The global launch date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy is Sept. 21; and we’re excited for fans to play all three reignited games on that day. As with most games today, downloading an update after purchase is quite common. The language on packaging and on the web is to let players know the requirements for Spyro Reignited Trilogy.”
They literally said nothing. This news isn’t the end of the world, but it does go to show you how clueless these publishers can be. Just seems lazy across the aboard.
