As you guys might know by now DC and Warner Bros. Pictures had a strong showing this year at the San Diego Comic-Con, giving the fan some pretty great looking trailers for their upcoming properties Justice League, Wonder Woman and their upcoming Cartoon Network show Justice League Action animated series. The reveals didn’t stop there, however, as they announced 2 brand new animated films currently in development!
The first of these will be a follow-up to this year’s Teen Titans vs Justice League film, which will be entitled Teen Titans: The Judas Contract. The film is set to premiere sometime next spring and will be an adaptation of the ‘Judas Contract’ storyline which debuted back in ’84 in the New Teen Titans comic series. The storyline is known for introducing Terra to the Teen Titans, as well as being the first story in which Dick Grayson adopts the identity of Nightwing.
The second film to be announced was a Batman and Harley Quinn animated film, aptly titled ‘Batman and Harley Quinn‘. The film will be a brand new original story from the mind of DC Legend Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League: Gods and Monsters). No details have been revealed about the film as of yet but we will keep you guys updated on any new developments.
Next year will be a busy year for DC Animation as the previously announced Justice League Dark will also be premiering sometime next year. That makes 3 animated films DC will be presenting next year, which will be sure to please fans.
