The PlayStation exclusive, Days Gone is getting delayed from its original release date that was February 22, 2019. This news was announced in this PlayStation update blog post.

Days Gone was first shown at the 2016 E3 conference and is a post-apocalypse open-world action game that is developed by SIE Bend Studio. This news isn’t mainly because the game needs work but it actually is to help the game from being surrounded by other games. Gamers that might buy multiple games in a month like me, It can hurt a game because we just don’t got the funds for buying all these games. Days gone will now be releasing on April 26, 2019, So only a couple months from its original release date.

In the blog post Asad Qizilbash, Vice president of marketing for Sony Interactive Entertainment America writes, “We recently decided to move the release of Days Gone from the crowded February timeframe to April 26, 2019. While the studio is eager to see Days Gone in the hands of fans, Bend Studio will take the opportunity to further polish Days Gone.” Most studios in recent years don’t pay attention to what other games are around their release date and that can really hurt the game sales. For example, Look at what happened to EA’s Titanfall 2 when it released it was between two very big franchise games that are Call of Duty and Battlefield and it ended up hurting the sales for Titanfall 2.

The game was supposed to drop in 2018 but then it got pushed back to Feb. 2019 now it is getting pushed to April 26, 2019. Even with these delays, I ain’t that worried about how the game will turn out. How do you feel about this delay and were you looking forward to playing this game? You will be able to play Days Gone only on PlayStation 4 now coming out on April 26, 2019!
