It’s a sad day for Switch owners. Dark Souls: Remastered will not be releasing on the Switch as expected and will be delayed due to “various reasons”. Although it’s being delayed the studio seems to be sure it can still be released sometime this summer.
Due to various reasons, the release for the Nintendo Switch version of "Dark Souls Remastered" has been moved to Summer, 2018. We offer our sincerest apologies to everyone anticipating its release, and hope you will enjoy being able to play Dark Souls anywhere at any time.

It’s not all bad for Dark Soul fans though. Just because the Switch version and the new Astora amiibo are going to be delayed it will have no effect on the PC, PS4, or Xbox One versions which are still scheduled to be released on May 25th.
Due to the nature of causality, we must announce that the Nintendo Switch version of #DarkSoulsRemastered will be pushed back to summer of 2018, and with it, the release of the Solaire of Astora amiibo.
PC/PS4/X1 versions will maintain their May 25th release date.

Many Nintendo fans are in a rage over the delay however, an enlightened gamer would rather have a delayed game so long as it is actually polished, optimized, and glitch-free when it finally does get released. Hopefully, the switch version will be released by summer if not Dark Souls might have a dark future in front of them.
