In a surprising bit of news today, CD Projekt Red, makers of The Witcher and the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 tweeted that they are officially confirming multiplayer will be coming to the most anticipated game of 2020. They aren’t even done with the single-player aspect, but the team is actively recruiting positions from 3D Character artists to network programmers.
1/2 Until now, the only thing we said about multi was that it was in R&D. As we’re getting closer to launching ‘single player’ Cyberpunk 2077 in Apr. 2020, we’d like to confirm that multiplayer’s in the works! The team wanted to reiterate that the single-player will launch first, then follow up with some DLC content. Once that’s done, then they will get the multiplayer action going. This will be very interesting to see how this works out, but I know some people who aren’t really into singly-player games might be more intrigued to pick this one up. What do you think about this news?
