Captain America: Civil War made the cover of the latest issue of Empire magazine and as usual the outlet has come through with plenty of new bits of information regarding the film, as well as plenty of new photos from the upcoming film.

While Civil War features the biggest ensemble of superheroes in cinematic history, the film is also stacked with plenty of supporting characters. Speaking of which, the identity of Martin Freeman’s character in the film has finally been revealed to be Everett Ross, a member of the Joint Counter Terrorist Center. Freeman briefly about his character in the past, stating:

“He works for the American government. He works in conjunction with the superheroes, and certain agencies that help to tame the superheroes’ power, I suppose. So you’re not quite sure which side he’s on. It looks a little bit like he’s playing one game when actually he’s playing another. It’s the kind of character I like because it’s ambiguous and because you don’t know whether he’s good or bad. I like that area that isn’t black or white, I like the grays, because I think there’s just more fun to be had in not playing one obvious line.

Another human character that has been revealed to be in the film is none other than Pepper Potts (portrayed Gwyneth Paltrow), Tony Stark’s love interest in the Iron Man film series. The actress was spotted on set during reshoots for the film during mid-January, making the film her character’s first appearance since 2013’s Iron Man 3.
