From Software fans, it’s time to get excited — Sony announced during its Tokyo Game Show keynote presentation and on the PlayStation blog today that an expansion for Bloodborne will be releasing November 24 titled “The Old Hunters.” You will be able to download the expansion for $20, €14.99, or £11.99, while IGN is reporting that Bloodborne: The Old Hunters Edition is coming to retail on December 3. It’s not entirely clear if IGN is referring to just the expansion or a re-release or the game that includes the expansion.

Also included in the announcement is the fact that Bloodborne has sold 2 million copies worldwide so far.

Below is taken straight from the PlayStation blog:

Set in a nightmare world where hunters from the past are trapped forever, explore brand new stages full of dangers, rewards, and deadly beasts to overcome. You’ll find multiple new outfits and weapons to add to your arsenal as well as additional magic to wield and add more variety to your combat strategy.

With new story details, learn the tale of hunters who once made Yharnam their hunting grounds, meet new NPCs, and discover another side of the history and world of Bloodborne. Here’s a brief glimpse of just some of what lies in store for you when The Old Hunters launches on November 24th, including Simon’s Bowblade weapon, and new boss enemy Ludwig.

The trailer shows off the new bowblade, the buzz-saw, modified boss fights against bosses from the main game (some shown are Father Gascoigne, Vicar Amelia, Mergo’s Wet Nurse, and the Cleric Beast), and a possible full-on beast transformation (1:13).
