Well, this news threw me for a bone. Apparently, Crackdown 3 is “pretty much done” according to our snitch. This news is shocking because we’ve been waiting for Crackdown 3 since it was first revealed in 2014. The first E3 reveal trailer was in 2014. That means this game has made five E3 appearances.
Most people in my circle have given up or lost interest in the game. I’ve seen similar sentiments on Twitter. So it’s interesting to hear someone from the studio behind the game say they’re “pretty much done.” When asked why there have been so many delays they claim due to quality control. They wanted to live up to the expectation of the game.
“As you know the release date’s moved back, confirmed as February next year, and that’s great news because it gives us the time to polish a game that’s pretty much done, but make it better and better. The way to make the best games is you finish them, then finish them again, and then finish them again. That’s what we’re doing with Crackdown 3.”
We’ll see February 2019 when Crackdown FINALLY releases for Xbox One and PC. Until then seeing is believing for me.
