Google is currently teaming up with Fiat Chryslers to bring more in-car system technology to the car. Andriod 7.0 will be used to control a lot of the in-car responses for example AC, heat, and radio. The car system is being called UConnect and it will be downloadable to all Andriod devices to make it easier for users to control the in-car settings.
Google is continuing to increase technology within cars with their self-automated car project which is also a priority. So to see the company work with other auto-makers is not surprising at all. One thing that Google has an advantage over Apple in this situation is that your operating system is flexible. I highly doubt Apple will allow any company to modify their iOS at all. I look forward to seeing more car tech in the new year.
