I saw this article a couple days ago about AMC CEO Adam Aron possibly allowing people to text in theaters. I immediately thought this was a terrible idea, and it looks like I wasn’t the only one. After hearing numerous complaints and outrage from fellow moviegoers who 100% dislike the plan, Adam has heard us loud and clear.
“With your advice in hand, there will be NO TEXTING ALLOWED in any of the auditoriums at AMC Theaters”. This came straight from Aron’s facebook page. He has only been a CEO for four months but was attempting to appeal to the younger crowd who hold their phones like it’s a part of them. I understand trying to understand the younger generation, but the movie theater is no place for your cell phones. If you cannot put your phone away and fully enjoy the experience, I would suggest to stay at home.
