Alphabet will be launching Project Wing, a drone delivery service in Finland some time next spring. Wing has spent 18 months gathering data from thousands of deliveries done by drones in Australia.
Wing, which started as an independent company called X, is known for its innovations in energy, AI, Optics, and other technologies. The automated drones will run on clean energy and fly emission free. Wing will be used for small businesses wanting to deliver items such as food, medicine, and other items minutes after being requested. Customers will be able to request drones using the delivery app. The drone will then pick up the items requested from the business and deliver it to your door.
