Every day is a blessing. Sometimes it might not feel like that, but I promise if you just do a little digging you’ll find something to thankful for. Today I’m thankful for a new Batman anime that it is in the works.
So what’s the big deal about this? Batman has dozens of anime and live action films, right? These reports are making waves because the latest piece of Batman media will be anime movie produced by the creator of the classic Afro Samurai.
According to our mole, this reimaging of Batman will see him as a ninja. The film will be produced by Jumpei Mizusaki who’ve made a name off creations such as JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Joining Jumpei is Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki. Takashi will be in charge of character design.
The movie isn’t due out until 2018, but those attending New York Comic Con will get some type of sneak peak during a panel. The Panel happens October 5th. Here’s a quick synopsis of what to expect
“Warner Bros. Japan and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment team for an eye-popping addition to the Batman animated legacy with Batman Ninja, a spectacular, all-new anime film coming in 2018.
Be among the first to witness the premiere of colorful footage from this imaginative take on Batman and many of his connected characters. Panelists will include director Jumpei Mizusaki, character designer Takashi Okazaki, screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima, English-language screenwriters Leo Chu & Eric Garcia and some potential special guests.”
