Remember that headset that the GI crew got to try out at E3 called Star VR? Well, Acer is stepping into the scene to assist Starbreeze with making and selling their headset. According to our source this headset is going to be marketed towards theme parks, so we’ll have to sit and wait to see how this works.
Starbreeze already had Toshiba in its corner, but adding Acer to the mix should help the company significantly! My only concern is who they’re really trying to compete with if they’re marketing this specific headset towards theme parks? I really liked what they demoed to us, but it was a little bulky and required outside elements to get the full experience. I thought this was going to be a household headset, but with what I just mentioned above it all makes sense now.
