Last year we reported Ubisoft would be releasing a free standalone update to educate the masses on the rich history of the Egyptian empire. I would be a library that players could tour and learn and much as they like. It’s a shame it didn’t launch with the game, but better late than never right? That update is out today!
This update is free as long you already own the game. If you don’t own AC: Origins, but still want to check out this library know that’s possible. There’s a standalone release for this new discovery mode that will set you back $15. Here’s a statement from Ubisoft gloating about their new update.
“We’ve been in touch with teachers from the very first installment of Assassin’s Creed games. Many of them already used the games during their History classes but soon came to realize that what they needed was an easily accessible educative tool based in our historical reconstructions.
With the Discovery Tour by Assassin’s Creed: Ancient Egypt, you can visualize and understand thousands of things from Egyptian history in their actual context. As both a game and a learning tool, it is quite a unique asset for teachers to integrate as part of their history classes.”
