Seems like it’s been an eternity since we’ve done an official update on the 16th great basketball. Well I’m here to announce that’s over. It’s ACTUALLY been over. 2K16 has launched with some issues, but the community seems to enjoy the changes they’ve made to this years game. The numbers confirm this as well.

The game has only been out for a week and they’ve already garnered 4 million units sold. This is “an unprecedented franchise record” according to reports. They’ve also told us that Senior Vice President of basketball operations at 2K Jason Argent is on record saying

“Each year we set out to deliver not only the best on-court basketball video game, but a full off-court entertainment experience that transcends basketball. NBA 2K fans around the world are buying this title faster and in greater numbers than ever before.”

The president of 2K’s visual concepts also said

“Our goal was simple, make NBA 2K16 the most playable, authentic basketball experience ever. The development team demonstrated tremendous dedication to recreating every nuance of the sport both on and off-court, which has been the driving force behind our early success.”

Now only if they’d fix that Demi-God glitch and optimize the shitty PC version. The community is waiting.
